Lords of Thunder is a game from the Producers of Gate of Thunder. As you can guess, it is very good; with excellent graphics (IMO: better than GoT) and heavy, rocking music! You play a mystical warrior charged with the task of freeing the land from the clutches of evil warlocks. You have to select which land you wish to free next before entering the level, and there are lands such as earth, water, fire, ice, etc. You then choose an armor (weapon) to wear for that level - use common sense - eg use a fire armor in the ice level - get it? After choosing a armor, then buy you power-ups and magial items (sheild, smart bombs etc) in the shop before each level. You can gain cash points for each enemy you destroy - each one leaves behind at least a single blue crystal - some leave more, and some leave an even higher scoring red crystal - don't get gready though, as you can easily get hit while trying to get all the crystals! The weapons power up great, with each suit of armor having approx 4 power levels, each power level having a different graphics and efects, eg, the fire armor starts off with a multi directional singal shot, power it up and you will get a forward firing fireball, next level will give you twin forward fireballs, the final power level gives the player a encircling giant flamethrower type weapn with enormous destructive potential. There are some really huge enemies and bosses in the game, even the boss at the end of the first land is a screen tall, and well animated - you are in for a treat with this game!
