This poem is dedicated to my 1.5 million Armenian brothers and sisters who were murdered in cold blood in 1915 by the evil Turkish government. Til this day, this Genocide is still largely unrecognised. As the new millennium approaches, you have to start wondering if it ever will be!!!

                                                           Victims Of Inhumanity

                                                               Who thought it up?
                                                               To make a hell
                                                               Where Eden was
                                                               In Mount Ararat's shade...
                                                               Lord,
                                                               Don't you hear
The red news of massacre and blood?

                     Dear Friends,

I am writing to ask for your participation in a special benefit concert on November 4th
                     - right at election time - to draw media attention and provide funds for legislation in
                     Congress on the Armenian Genocide.

The genocide of the Armenians - the brutal deaths of 1.5 million Armenians at the
hands of the Government of Turkey between 1915 and 1923 - is denied to this day by
the Turkish government. This cover up of the 20th century's first genocide caused
Hitler and many others to think that they too could get away with their gross plans of
                     murder and holocaust.

Despite these denials, the facts of the Armenian Genocide and the exile of the
Armenian nation from its historic homeland are clear. At the time, it was
internationally condemned and its perpetrators indicted as war criminals. But
afterwards, in return for oil rights from lucrative Middle Eastern holdings of Turkey,
these killers were released to rejoin the newly formed post-World War I government of
Kemal Ataturk. The Treaty of Sevres, which had outlined territorial restorations to
Armenia, was shelved. Since then, the government of Turkey has spent millions of
dollars every year in a comprehensive disinformation campaign, lobbying the U.S.
Congress, forging public relations campaigns, and rewriting history by manipulating
U.S. universities and buying off "highly esteemed" U.S. professors.

Turkey's denial of the Armenian Genocide is made possible by its powerful alliances
with the defense industry, multi-national oil companies, and the national security
establishments in the U.S. and other Western nations. The truth has always been
there for all to observe, yet the truth is rarely profitable in a world of globalism and free
                     "slave" trade.

Our band, System Of A Down, comprised of four Armenians, has a duty to our
people, as well as to the people of the world, to see justice done. We have helped
educate many on the abuses of globalism, CIA activities, as well as the Armenian
and other forgotten genocides. Profits from this show will be donated to the Armenian
National Committee of America, a political organization that lobbies Congress for
                     acknowledgment of the Armenian Genocide.

We are looking for your help in this human rights issue because we believe that
allowing any genocide to be denied will only encourage future genocides. We ask you
to join us in taking on a system that covers-up the slaughter of a whole nation for
financial and political profit. I know that you have been involved in bringing light to
many other injustices around the globe, and hold our respect and admiration
accordingly. I am also aware that you therefore may have many other benefits and
causes that you must attend to, therefore I thank you, in advance, for your mere
                     consideration.
