That was that. Adelaide, now known as her highness, had moved from a homeless girl in New England to a queen in Razkavia. The people loved her already. Soon Adelaide discovered that the two larger countries surrounding Razkavia (Austria and Germany) had not-so-nice plans for Razkavia. You see, the only valuable thing in Razkavia was the nickel silvered it's people mined from it's heart, and Germany and Austria would go to no end to get it. Upon discovering this, Adelaide immediately ordered for a week-long peace negotiation to be held in her palace.
Every single person who entered the great hall came with a set mind that he or she would get what he or she wished for his or her country and leave. They thought Adelaide would just be a pushover. They were wrong! Adelaide was cunning and inviting, and, if by magic, eventually convinced every country that not only would they leave Razkavia alone, but they would also send armed guards, food, and shelter if needed. Adelaide was already proving herself to be a true-born leader.
One day before the signing of the official peace papers would've occurred, Adelaide, along wit Becky and Jim, were arrested and taken by force out of the palace. It seemed that her chamberlain was not very faithful and couldn't resist the money offered by someone in Germany who wasn't quite convinced Razkavia and it's fortunes should be let in peace. If those papers got signed and Germany started defending Razkavia instead of fighting it, well that would be awful, wouldn't it? This person wanted Razkavia, and he wanted it now. Jim, Adelaide, and Becky eventually escaped from their shackles, and grabbed the flag, the only thing that could give Germany the rightful ownership of the country, and fled to the castle where the founder of Razkavia had taken it so many centuries ago in an effort to defeat the countries who dared to try to steal his country.
Adelaide, Jim, and Becky, accompanied by Adelaide's cousin in law and 10 of "his men", fought hard and well, but there were just too many. A shot pierced throw the skin in Adelaide's chest, and the flag started to fall, but her cousin-in-law caught it. He was the "Adeltrager" (Eagle-bearer in German, I believe) now. Finally, Adelaide, Becky, and Jim managed to escape weakly. Adelaide's cousin-in-law fled to the palace with his remaining men. A few Razkavians discovered their wounded queen and companions and, knowing the great danger they were in Razkavia, sent them off to a hospital in Scotland.
After they recovered from their injuries (Adelaide's rather severe) and went back to England, they got a chance to read the newspaper. The headline was "Ancient Country in Downfall" the subtitle for that was "Respected young queen fled, some of the royal silver missing as well." Adelaide could've screamed. Jim just hugged her and reassured her that her cousin-in-law would set the record straight. And so the story ended. I hope you've enjoyed my summary!
