Shopping programs
These programs credit you for purchasing online. They may not be suited to all surfers, but the rewards can be just as good as other types of programs. Look thru and see if there is something that catches your interest, and read on and visit the site.
Personal Request: If you apply from this page, please email me know so I can track your progress with any of these programs. I need referral feedback to improve my reviews of these sites. I may also be able to help you with problems, or your own referrals if you choose to do all the effort like this. |
Similar to "Air Miles" with Bank of Montreal or American Express cards, Surf-Miles gives you travel-mile-credit for purchases from affiliates online vendors. As of August 1999 there were 30 vendors in the program ranging from Amazon.com to K-Tel. You can also redeem your credits for cash, minimum 1500 miles per cashout. As this program is based in the UK, 1500 miles is £1. You may also elect to donate to charity thru the program.
Rewards for surfing can be 4 miles per dollar spent at some online shopping sites.
They also have a paid to surf "Cash Box" which allow you to collect 30 surf-miles per hour online, like other paid to surf programs by viewing ads online. You can gain 1/3 of your referrals' CashBox usage also. Unfortunately, the CashBox is only available in the UK (April 2000)
It is the internet's first virtual consumer community. Online shopping resources guaranteeing a minimum 20% discount. They provide valuable online shopping resources and information without charge. The organization is growing every month. Already, they have a lot of sponsors and affiliate companies, making Target Shop a good choice for the average consumer.
You earn S-Coins for providing information at the TargetShop site, and other activities. One S-Coin is worth 2 US pennies. You can earn cash or stock (payable when they go IPO) for referring others. S-Coins are not transferrable to stock.
One significant problem with this program is that you cannot alter you email address. So, if you change ISP's or begin using a new email address, you are stuck! Consequently, their rating is much lower than it should be! They show much promise for the future, and you should consider joining this program if you do shop online.
Your personal shopping assistant! This organization helps you compare prices, auto-complete online forms, and earn money while doing it all. All you need is the software, downloadable after joining this free program.
The program seems to be available outside the US, but is not explicitly stated. The software must be installed and running while online to gain credit for purchases. It is only available for MSIE 4.x in Windows 95+, and can only be downloaded from the same. It is a feature bar, imported into MSIE (like Spedia's bar).
You can register multiple email address which you use in your online purchases. The BoodleBar will see these email address when used in purchasing from affiliated online shops, and directly credit your eBoodle account. It is one of the better online shopping reward systems operating. Many require you to confirm orders, or use a given email account from the program. eBoodle requires no changes to your current shopping styles.
eBates is a shopping rewards program. As you shop online, you gain points. Upon registering, you will be provided a ebates.com email address for the sole purpose of shopping. Use this address instead of your own at any of the online businesses you deal with. This is how your online transactions are tracked. You cannot use this email address for general email use.
Rebates are paid quarterly, for purchases prior to 45 days before payday. This allows for returns and refunds on purchases and proper credit/points management. Minimum payment is $5, which is quite low on this page. Rebates from the merchants range from 1% to 25%, and average about 10%.
The program is currently only available to merchants in the US and Canada. However, users worldwide may join, use and be paid under the program, if then deal with these merchants, and the regional website must be used, not an international affiliate site. They already have dozens of merchants in most catagories, over 100 total so far.
An online shopping rebate program. You are rewarded for your own shopping, and referrals to 5 levels. Unfortunately, it seems to be only available in the USA, and does not allow international visitors to complete the application form. However, I cannot locate anywhere that states international members are not allowed.
Payments are made when you request a cheque written, if you have a minimum $10 balance. You can also gain shares in the organization, which in itself, may be like winning the lottery someday.
More information will be added as I find it.
Qool.com is an online shopping rewards program. You gain credit at about 10% of the cash you spend at participating online retailers. Your 'QoolCoins' can then be used to participate in auctions through the Qool site. Thus, essentially you are being rewarded for shopping with auction credits.
Auctions include toys, gadgets, electronics and computer merchandise so far, but can include anything from any organization participating in the Qool network.
Joining this program is a chore - they have a form that a government agency would be proud of. It took me about 15 minutes to go thru the pages of information to gain a few credits to start off with. However, these forms and survery questions are all optional. But if you want a few starting credits, and get on their good side, why not take the time to do it honestly.
QoolCoins can also be earned through a paid-to-surf program (see paid to surf page)
Originally Big Referral Network, they changed their name like so many others hoping to make a fresh start. Unfortunately, they just didn't have a good business plan. In June 2000 they became Shop Dog online shopping network and in August 2000 they officially went out of business.
Instead of a pay-to-surf or email program, this program was to pay you for referring others into their marketing program. You are paid for helping to get others to visit sites, and hopefully make online purchases. You are rewarded for initially referring these people, and secondly for every purchase they make.
This is your typical shopping rewards program. After obtaining your account, you simply shop while logged into the My Points website and gain your rewards for every link you follow and complete a transaction listed. Only shopping through the links on their site will gain you credit in this program.
I would say this shopping program is as good as any other. The site itself is failry well designed and quite user friendly - even though I saw quite a few "temporarily unavailable" messages. They have a good number of affiliate online businesses for you to shop with, which I am sure will expand as more people use the service.
Spree is a shopping rewards and online discount program. You can get rewards around 7-10% of your purchase with affiliate retailers. Through special affiliations, you can get 75% discounts from some organizations!
eSumer is an online shopping rewards program for you and your friends. Anything you purchase online will give you cash, savings and other rewards thru this site. Periodically you will receive a cheque with your cash rewards from your online shopping. You will also receive 20% of your referral's rewards.
You will receive a new email address (like [email protected]) that you use as your code whenever you purchase thru links on the eSumer.com site. The process of collecting rewards is automated by the site. Some of these shopping reward programs require you to send in your bills or email showing your purchases to get the rewards. This program does what should be done- doing the work for you.
This is a personal shopping network. Nothing too fancy, but I am sure it will become bigger and fancier over time, as most web companies do. No rewards are available for referrals (that promotion has ended).
At this time, all I can say is if you are an online shopper, you should try this one out.
One Nest is a 'bazaar' online, allowing members to buy and sell any kind of merchandise. All you have to do is register and pur up whatever you want for sale. Or, look to see what odd and interesting things other people have for sale today.
If you are one of the following, then One Nest is for you: Artist, Artisan, Seller, Shopper, Merchant, Traveller, Freelancer or a Humanitarian. Sign up for this program. It started in March 2000, and the earlier you join the more opportunities there will be, as well as better usernames.
Members wishing to refer others earn $1-$2.50 per referral up to $10,000. Thus I ask, if you join from this site, use my referral code as noted when you click the logo below. I hope you enjoy OneNest.com!
A shopping rewards program and a paid to visit sites program all in one. You are rewarded with cash back on your purchases at online shops, and can receive credit for visiting those sites and others, periodically. I have not had a lot of time to get to know this system and make a good writeup, so I will let you review it for now.
This is a cooperative of reward programs (hence the name) and has swallowed up some other rewards programs. You earn around 20% of the amount you spend shopping online at affiliate merchants. In addition you can earn 'Ad-Cash' but they are unclear on how to earn them, and what they are exchangable for.
Upon joining you will receive your first email full of digital coupon codes for online shops such as BookStreet, Barnes & Noble, eNutrition, Gateway PC, iBaby, JCrew, PetSmart, Staples and many more. These coupons range from a few dollars to $100, or 5-50% of your purchase. Free shopping on orders sometimes, or free products with purchases. These offers are not usually advertised on the merchant website, you need to know them before you go shop. This program can certainly be worthwhile on this feature alone.
Thanks for visiting my site. If you found something useful, then my work has been worthwhile. Now if the banners on the site, or any site for that matter are of interest to you, you should persue that interest. After all, that's why the information is there, to make you aware and direct you to the information you are looking for.
