Insurance Programs

Credit unions offer many different types of insurance to provide security and peace of mind for their members.

VFCU provides a wide range of insurance programs for you. Some are provided free and others are provided at a very low-cost.

Savings are insured to $100,0000 per member by the NCUSIF, a independent agency of the United States government and is, financially, the strongest of the three primary insuring agencies (FDIC,FSLIC, and NCUA). Share insurance helps to maintain sound conditions in the credit union industry and protects those insured in the event of failure.

Members' savings covered by this program include combined funds in the share accounts and share certificates of $100,000.
