This set of pictures covers several topics in Prague and its suburbs.
We start - as usual - from the Karlùv Most (Charles Bridge).
Wow, that's me!
Okay, by this time you have probably started to recognize me. In addition,
on the background you can see the southern tower of the Charles Bridge.
By the way, you might have noticed that the images were heavily edited
before I put them here. And they are still not so good! Darn! Thing is
that my camera is not so good, in addition the scanner wasn't the best
either. And even though my image editing software as well as my graphics
design skills are superb, I wasn't able to improve the quality of the
images by any considerable degree... (*sigh*)
After spending some time at the skeleton puppet show, we moved on.
There are many artists on the Bridge, they work right there, or sell
their paintings or both... Masha decided to stop here at this display...
If you look at the previous picture and then slowly turn about 30
degrees to the right you will get this picture here.
The bridge on the background is the Charles bridge. This picture is
taken from another bridge...
After crossing the Charles bridge we came here. I hope you can
distinguish little details that make Prague beautiful - flowers
at the mezzanine balcony; Masha in the bottom right-hand corner,
Charles Bridge on the left... :)
Another view of Masha and the Charles Bridge from another bridge.
Where is this? What's is she reading? Where did she come from?
Where did she go next? No answer.
Oh, I know what's this! This picture of nightscape of the Prague Castle
is taken from the Charles Bridge...
Town of Kutna Gora is an ancient capital of the Czech Kingdom,
where the silver mines were the source of wealth for the Czech kings
for several generations. The main landmark is magnificent Cathedral
of St. Barbara which is depicted here.
Another view from the high wall of Kutna Gora...
Me again...
As you are probably aware this pub was described as the favorite
hangout of the good soldier Shveik, the hero of the same-titled
book written by Yaroslav Gashek during and after WWI.
At the entrance to the pub there are 2 mannequins representing
characters of the book. Masha is portrayed here with the Junior Sergeant
Oak. (Or is it Lieutenant Lukash?)
And here we are posing at the entrance to the pub with the good
soldier Shveik himself meeting us at the doors...
Believe it or ot but this is a view of the famous "Descend to the Bathroom",
where the ancient kings of Czechia would go to the marble-covered and
gilded bathroom located at the bottom of the blooming esplanade.
Many years passed since the peak of the popularity of that establishment,
and now a humble tourist has to do with the semi-destoyed facilities
that are located behind the little brown door at the background...
Feel the difference!
This pathway actually leads to the above-mentioned esplanade...
Very picturesque.
Okay, now that's a pretty cool picture! While on our way to the Prague
Castle we spotted this narrow staired passage to the parallel world...
We all can clearly see the background of this picture - the St. Vitus's
Cathedral of the Prague Castle. However, who on Earth has snuck in to
the foreground? :)
Troya is a nice little palace of some rich guy. Or gall. I didn't remember
the name. There was nothing particularly amazing inside. But on the outside
it was pretty cool!
A detail of the architectural ensemble - the Stairs - are very beautiful!
Okay. Here is the story. We bought this wooden bird for a friend of
ours. (Leo.) It's just amazing! Its flight is solemn as if it's the Lord
of Eagles in the Middlearth... Masha is trying to imitate the noble bird,
but hm...Well, you know...
Catcher in the bushes...
This church was supposed to have 2 normal towers. But due to the
oversight they built those weird stellas. And forgot to replace them...
Gates. (Not Bill).
If you look closer there is Masha somewhere in leaves...
