Access Monitoring
A JavaBreak Out game
Same Game But In Portuguese version of the game.
AccessWatch
- This is a PERL script to monitor the access pattern to your web site, you'll know where people visiting your page are from, at what time and even which pages have every one visited! You don't need CGI to run it, but you have to have access to a UNIX shell. Click here for a
sample
page of stats.
WebTracker
- With WebTracker you don't have to have UNIX shell or CGI access right to get a detailed page accessing report. One requirement is that your page must have less than 500 hits a day.
Web Side Story
- In addition to your own cumulative, per day and per hour statistics, they maintain top lists for many different categories of web pages.
Aaddzz
- The name of this service is weird, but the service itself is pretty nice. You will have everything presented in charts. They also provide a free counter service if you don't need the detailed stats.
Siteflow
- Their so-called "free counter" service has so many detailed stats that they should be classified in this category. They also provide a commercial counter service along with this free one.
LinkExchange
- Yes, advertising your homepage can also be free! You put up a banner ad for other people and your ad can be shown for free (I am also a member of this scheme, see the banner below)!
Bannerad
- Yet another free banner exchange scheme, pretty much similar to ILE, except that they require a banner of the size 420x40 pixels.
BannerSwap
- In additional to the traditional 2:1 banner exposure ratio, you get an extra 1/2 credit when people click on the banner shown on your page. The banner size is 400x50 pixels.
Net-On's Banner Exchange
- This is a company based at Sweden, its scheme offers you a 3:5 banner exposure ratio and you'll need a larger banner (468x60 pixels).
SmartClicks
- The coolest free advertising network! They offer free
targetted
advertising, you'll have a much higher chance to get better click through ratio. Banner size is 400x50.
Anonymizer
- Do you know that you leave a footprint every time you visit a web site? The web server actually knows where you are from, what browser you're using and even what computer you're using ! Anonymizer helps avoiding this footprint.
NetForward
- Ever been anxious about changing e-mail address or web site address? With NetForward you don't have to panic, it automatically forwards your guests to anywhere you tell it to.
Net@ddress>
Transfer interrupted!
ice. This one doesn't support URL forwarding but still it's a good idea to have a permanent e-mail address no matter how many ISPs you have switched.
StarMail
- Also an e-mail forwarder, but with this one you can choose your very own e-mail address from a list of 100's of domain names, e.g. you e-mail can be something like
[email protected]
.
iName
- iName provides a very similar service as StarMail above, i.e., you can also choose your own e-mail address from a list of 100's of domain names.
Internet Gallery
- An internet resources gallery provided by Microsoft for free. Here you can find much more than free graphics, including sounds, Java applets, ActiveX controls, ....
Microsoft Multimedia Gallery
- Another free gallery provided by Microsoft. Backgounds, banners and images for web pages are organised into different 'themes' here.
Resources for Icons, Images and Graphics
- This site contains just about everything you need to create your very own site full of graphics, icons, background textures, buttons, clip arts...and what's more - a
very useful help with images
!
Caboodles Animated Gifs
- If you feel like adding some spices to your page, try adding some animated GIFs. And at this site you can find tons of downloadable free animated GIFs.
GIF Wizard
- A common problem to many web sites is that the graphics are too large to load, the only way to solve it is to shrink the size of your graphics. If you can't do it yourself, do it with GIF Wizard, an on-line free service to shrink your GIFs.
Banner Resources
- WOW...a cool collection of banner resources compiled by myself. Here you can find many cool backgrounds, clip arts, etc to be used on your own banner. Simply download the elements you like and add your own text and you can also create your own banner.
The Banner Generator
- A VERY COOL service. You don't need to be a graphics expert to create wonderful banner like
these samples
.
Community ConneXion Remailer
- An e-mail remailer which allows you to send anonymous e-mail, i.e. the receiver of the mail wouldn't know who the sender was.
FakeMailer
- Yet another way to send anonoymous e-mail.
Steven's Web Page
- Autoresponder (or Autoreplyer, whatever) helps you reply e-mails automatically. By joining their link exchange program, you can get your own autoresponder for free. In addition to this Steven's Web Page also provides many other free services like e-mail forwarding and mailing lists.
Free And Fun Counter
- Another free web counter service provider. You MUST provide a link back to their page in order to use their service.
Internet Count
- This is a counter rather different from the other ones. You cannot see the counter reading directly, you must click on the IC icon to read your sta ts (a little more than just a total hits). They provide a very stable service with very little down time, that's why I gave them a "cool" mark.
Free Counters
- Yet another ordinary free counter, nothing fancy, but looks pretty nice.
Escati
- They provide some extra stats in addition to the just only the count. But the stats are not detailed enough to make them classified as an access monitoring service.
Web Page Access Counters and Trackers
- This is not a free counter provider, it's a VERY comprehensive list of virtually all free and commercial counters and tr ackers available on the internet. Well worth a visit!
Monolith@Home
- If you're sick of having your URL so long and so weird that no one would probably remember, try this service and give your web site a unique domain name for free. Your URL will become something like
http://xxx.home.ml.org
.
This is another counter, It also has a clock along to go with it
