. . . . . .. .. . .. . . Céline Dion & Nickels |
For us probably most interesting is the connection between Céline and Nickels. It was by the way Céline who came up with the name "Nickels", not very unlogical since her favourite number as we know it is 5. She thinks of the concept as the perfect opportunity to lighten the post-war decade. This was a period, she says, in which romance and family values were important. The number 5 is now omnispresent hrough the whole restaurant chain and the nickel (of which Céline has an impressive collection) represents furthermore symbols out of the fifties such as James Dean, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley. More input with Céline's name written all over it, is in the fact a couple of her sisters and brothers are managers of some of the restaurants. On the menu the Céline cake is of course the dessert most wanted by fans, and also interesting to know for fans is that Céline herself chose the uniforms waiters have to wear and that she gave her personal touch to the decoration. As for the Céline cake; this is a delicious chocolate cake on which she was crazy as a child and which she had included with urging in the menu. |
