About Me

The Good, The Bad, and Me

In the real world my name is Daniel Hale. I've gone by numerous aliases in the 5 and a half years I've been in the Quake community, including Wazat, Void, HappyKillmore, and the most current, static_void (which is named after the programming term "static void").
I'm now a senior in high school and will graduate in 2001.
My hobbies are Computer Programming, games (Quake, Starcraft, Armored Core, Super Smash Bros.), jogging and sleeping (sometimes at the same time), listening to music (Pop, Rock, New Age, Classical, etc), reading (Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy!), and hanging out with friends.

I have programmed mods such as Wazat mod, Void Mod, VoidTF, Void Ents, and CTF Plugin. But most of what I've done isn't in my own mods, I've mostly helped other people by giving them ideas or code.

The repeated use of the name Void comes from a small pun with which the Void mod started. Void means "empty" or "null", thus the "Void mod", which is anything but empty. :)

My favorite thing I've made is the Void Mod turrets, which have a ton of options and behaviors they can be given. Soon enough I'm hoping to rewrite them from scratch so the code is cleaner and easier to port.
