Three good-looking brothers with long hair who play drums, guitar and keyboard. Sound familiar? Well think again. This isn’t Hanson, it’s the Bass brothers: Nathan, 18, Mark, 15, and Kieran, 13,
otherwise known as British band Next of Kin.

“We don’t mind being compared to Hanson”, says
Mark. “They’ve sold over 12 million albums after all” Mark’s passion for the guitar was the inspiration behind the band. “I’ve played the guitar for four years and Nathan picked up the drums, then about a year ago, little Kieran started the keyboards and we began playing as a band.” “Our dad used to set up gigs for us to play,” interrupts Nathan. “We used to play loads of weird muso stuff though, that no-one’s heard of, like Joe Satriani.” Erm, right...

Apart from being gorgeous, having tons of talent and writing cracking tunes, the boys’ path to stardom is also assured by the fact that they are being looked after by Simon Fuller, the guy who took the Spice Girls to the top. “He’d heard about us through his friends and contacted our manager Ian,” says Kieran. “He was really excited, which is great.
