They're all still in their
teens and brilliant musicians. Set to release their
second single 'More Love', we show them no mercy for
being so good, so young, as we put them through the
hottest grilling in pop.
How
is everything?
Nathan: Quite scary, two years ago nobody had heard of
us and now we can't go anywhere without being recognised
and mobbed - it's getting ridiculous. On the way in here
we were handed all these love letters from the girls
outside. I don't mind a bit. No-one wanted to go out with
me a couple of years ago and now I get lots of lovely
offers!
Kieran: yeah it's great, but there's
one girl who follows us absolutely everywhere and she can
be a bit scary sometimes. In fact even our manager is
scared of her ! It's good though to be getting all this
attention, we're doing lots of TV for the new singles, so
lots of rehearsals and things.
Mark: Getting lots of fans, more exposure, so the
schedule is a bit more hectic but we're getting good
reactions to what we're doing, so it's good.
Were you
pleased with the reaction to the debut single '24 Hours
From You'?
Mark: It was amazing actually. When it was released
we had a really small fan base of about 1,000 and we put
details of the fan club in the CDs and wherever we played
and now we've got over 35,000 members of the fan club.
Did you
enjoy supporting Boyzone on their greatest hits UK tour?
Nathan: It was great, we did all the
19 UK dates including the massive open air concert in
Dublin in front of 40,000 people and the worse part was
that it was during the day. Normally we're on at night,
but we could see everybody and it was really scary!
Mark: That doesn't bother me, it
doesn't make much difference to what I'm doing but it was
so cool because we had a private jet to take us from
Glasgow to Dublin to be there in time.
Kieran: It was great, but the plane was
really noisy so we couldn't talk to each other and when
the pilot came in to land he turned the plane so steeply
we were all convinced the wing was going to clip the
runway and we were all going to crash and die!
Nathan: Yeah, but what was really cool
was that if you stood up in your seat you could see the
runway approaching as we were coming in to land, just
like the pilot. You can't do that in a normal plane.
Best
bit?
Mark: I got to play golf with Keith
at the Belfry. And I beat him!
Worst
bit?
Kieran: Travelling for eight hours from
Brighton to Glasgow in our van, which is pretty big but
once we get everything in there, there's hardly any room
for us, it was a bit cramped!.
What's
your favourite time of the day?
Nathan: The time I get to spend in the
gym. I can just switch off and get away from everything.
Kieran and
Mark:
Dinner time! There's nothing like having a big plate of
something scrummy in front of you when you're starving
hungry.
Who's Sexy?
Nathan: Cameron Diaz
Kieran: Sandra Bullock
Mark: Alicia Silverstone
What are
your favourite films?
Nathan: The Exorcist - I've seen it
loads of time.
Kieran: The Cable Guy
Mark: Bean Goes to Hollywood
What are
the plans for the rest of the year?
Nathan: We release our new single 'More
Love' on the 7th June, and then another single in August,
with the album out in September - but that's all done -
we had half of it written before we even got our record
deal.
A big
thanks to Capital radio
