  Designed and implemented a distributed, multi-platform multimedia system that runs over a wireless ATM network. Used Visual C++ 6.0 and Visual J++ for the Windows 95/98 version and GNU C++ under Linux. Dealt with cross-platform compatibility issues, management of and interaction with multimedia resources (including streaming video) under DirectX and DirectAnimation.

Primary work done out of a home office in Waltham, MA telecommuting to NEC’s Computers and Communications Research Lab in Princeton, NJ.

I manage a group of artists and musicians over the internet and provide customer support as well as programming and serving as Project Manager on a number of projects.   Research Assistant (Internship) to Dr. Max Ott

Implemented a system for creating a composite video stream from a simulated 3D viewpoint from multiple video streams. Used Open Inventor and C on an SGI system. Developed a prototype system for simulation, calibration process, and actual system for use in video-conferencing. 

I was involved in both hardware and software aspects of the project, including design of physical structures for supporting multiple cameras, camera hardware calibration, hardware-software interfacing and testing.

Designed an adjustable-sensitivity digital sound sensor for LEGO robots, and implemented a sound localization system for the robots using the sensor and the LEGO Programmable Brick.
