The kickflip is when your board flips around 360 degress under you then you land it. It is a hard trick but if if you keep practicing you will get it.

1) The kickflip has a different stance than the Ollie. First off, your back foot should be a bit more back so about 1/4 of your back foot hangs off the tail. Your front foot should be in the center (you can move it up further once you get better) except that this time, the ball of your front foot should hang off the board. Now, find a smooth place and get one soft push so that you roll pretty slow.

2) Here comes the hard part, you're going to pop the board with your back foot while at the same time sliding your front foot forward, if you get this right the board will start spinning under you, raise your feet and let it spin, once you see the grip tape, land, congraculations, you've just landed the kickflip, or maybe not. This trick requires a lot more practice than the ollie but keep at it.

------------------------

Once you start landing your kickflips more than stacking them you can try to catch the board in mid air, this requires that you make a harder pop and slide your front foot off faster so that the flip is more faster so that you will have time to put your feet back on the board.

Bonus Tips:

If the board is not spinning fast enough for you and keeps landing upside down you should try to make your toes point 45 degrees to the nose and do the same with the back foot.

Some people, when they attempt the kickflip have the board go heaps forward, if this happens to you try to, as the board is flipping move a bit forward in the air.

It helps to have your spinal cord straight when you're doing it and have your eyes on the board at all times (unless you become so professional you know how fast the board is spinning without looking at it).
