"Judgement" Season Premiere

Teleplay by David Greenwalt
The well-oiled, demon fighting machine that is Angel, Cordelia and Wesley is
back in full force and joined by the streetwise vampire hunter,
Charles "Don't call me Chuck" Gunn. After a case of mistaken identity leads
Angel to slay a demon who is protecting an innocent girl, the brooding one feels
compelled to become "new protector guy," and it turns out that karaoke may be
the only way to make things right. Yes, it's Angel as you've never seen, or
heard him before--singing Barry Manalow's "Mandy" in order to find the damsel
in distress.
Meanwhile, Angel begins to struggle with the big news from season one's finale,
he may not always be eternal (don't we all struggle with that issue though?).
And even worse, what Angel doesn't know may truly hurt him. He must eventually
come face to face with an old nemesis as Darla recovers from her
Hellish resurrection thanks to his other nemesis, the now one-armed, and very
angry Lindsay McDonald.

We return to the abandoned hotel that gave Angel the heebie-jeebies in last
week's episode. Angel directs Cordelia and Wesley to investigate the building's
dark history. Angel should remember the place as his old digs from back in 1952.
Unfortunately, the memories are very painful for our undead hero. The hotel
is possessed by a demon who uses the insecurities of his prey against them.
Angel tries to keep to himself, but the damsels just keep coming. Of course,
Angel was a semi-baddie back then, before all the atoning began. So it's tough
going when he tries to help a true damsel and is then betrayed by her.
Back in the now--Angel and the gang take on the demon who has been calling the
hotel home for decades. Once they evict the evil, whispering demon, it looks
like Angel Investigations has a new, non-charbroiled place to take up business.

As if things aren't tough enough for Angel...
First, Darla haunts him in his X-rated dreams, his really cool car is stolen,
and now he's forced to mop up Cordelia's messes.
When Cordie has a nasty scary vision that involves Gunn in a very terrifying
situation, she decides she'll become new guy's protector. Unfortunately, the
job's going to take the big guns, and Cordelia's not very good at the whole
protecting thing. So the poor girl will have to wake Angel, rally Wesley and
even rely on Gunn himself for some serious assistance.
Turns out the destructive demon that Gunn needs to worry about is himself. If
he doesn't change his reckless ways, he won't be long for this world.
Cordelia vows to continue to keep an eye on her new friend.

This week, Angel's damsel in distress is Bethany, a woman who possesses telekinetic
powers far beyond her control (this ain't your average spoon-bender). When Angel
comes to Bethany's aid, he unknowingly crosses paths with the evil supernatural
law firm, Wolfram & Hart-who are attempting to slyly train the girl as an
assasin. Will the madness ever end? Lucky for our hero, he wins this round,
though he is still not privy to round one which continues in his dreams.
We may not have seen the end of the telekinetic babe--Angel feels a draw to
Bethany, as he too possesses powers beyond his control. And speaking of losing
control, Angel has gotten a little too sucked in to his dreams of late, what
with all the Darla cameos. So the sleep thing isn't going so well these days
and our hero's a little off his game. can vampires take Nytol?
"Dear Boy"
Original Air Date: 10/24/00
Written and directed by David Greenwalt
Bring on the flashbacks and the long-awaited guest stars!
Angel's crazy dreams take him way, way back to London in 1860 and his first
encounter with the pre-dead Drusilla. That particular nightmare is a dream come
true for BTVS and Angel fans, to be sure.
While on a case, the gang runs into dream-hoppin' Darla, posing as a human-type
and her "husband" at a restaurant. Naturally, Angel totally freaks. And who
wouldn't? The girl was dusted the first season of BTVS. Dust to dust and all
that stuff.
When Darla's hubby turns up dead, Wesley, Cordelia and even Gunn (and Kate,
a.k.a. Scully--yes she's back) suspect Angel may have reverted to his evil ways.
Of course, Angel's still his same, soulful, brooding self but he's learned that
Darla is teamed up with Wolfram & Hart, she ain't going anywhere soon and
the evil law firm brought her back human.
Yes, Darla has a soul too. The vixen claims that means nothing but our hero
knows better. The ex-vamp is already having jealous feelings because she learns
that Angel loved Buffy but never her. That whole moment of true happiness thing.
Still...the dear boy is tempted.
"Guise Will Be Guise"

When Angel's away, the assistants will play.
In order to get a little shut-eye, Angel journeys to a mystical swami-type to
help him understand his crazy dreams.
Hello! Didn't the guy meet Darla and figure out that whole inner demon thing
already?
When a powerful businessman requires Angel's services to protect his daughter,
and the guy simply won't take "no" for an answer, company-man Wesley steps in.
Picture if you will, Wesley, posing as the dark and brooding vampire with a
soul to save a damsel in distress.
No doubt he'll be fully clad in black -- and getting himself in over his head.
"Darla"
Original Air Date: 11/14/00
Written and Directed by Tim Minear
The crossovers and flashbacks continue from BTVS to Angel in this two hour event!
In typical Angel style, our brooding boy in black becomes desperate to rescue
Darla from the clutches of Wolfram & Hart. All this saving of the "ex" brings
on a nostalgic wave.
Via Angel's flashbacks, we'll be privy to their powerful relationship and how
it began -- including Darla's sire by the Master!
And what trip down memory lane is complete without the presence of Spike and
Drusilla? We'll see how the gang was split apart after Angel was cursed with
a soul.
We'll also learn that history is dangerously repeating itself for Darla and
Angel.
