As you can see from the link above, the latest verison of SuperView!, that is, SuperView! 98 Beta Release 1 is now available, and so if you want to keep intune with the latest features, I suggest you spend the two-minutes or so that it takes to download this measly little zip file.

Also, if you've been waiting for it, here is the long awaited Beta Release 3 - The Final Beta, so if you can't be bothered with the crap on above, here it is, with JPEG view, GIF view, loads of other views, debugged procedures and functions, and just generally improved, all in a self-extracting executable, at under 600k its a bargain!!!

If you don't want that, and you would have to be crazy to not want it, then the other previous releases are shown below, including the very first version of SuperView!'s predecessor, File Viewer, which has 3 versions, 1, 2 and, yes, 3!

Unfortunately though, due to technical problems (namely my source code being buggered up) I will only be able to present version 1 to you at the moment, if at all.

Coming along shortly, maybe some time May, will be SuperView! 98 Beta Release 2, which will hopefully have fully working file commands and the ability to view and print gifs and view the contents of zip files! Unfortunately though, these extra features will probably need aditional dlls, three in all, and, understanding that not everyone wants to install yet more dlls onto their system, two verions of Beta Release 2 will hopefully be available, one with the extra features, and one without, though with a bit of look, I might be able to find some way of not using all of the dlls, and possibly all.

Finally, the only other programs you'll find here are SuperView! 97, the last predecessor to SuperView! 98, the main difference being the logo and that not all the links work, and SuperView! 97+, a smaller, more flexible version of SuperView! 97, I cannot however guarantee that all, if any of this program works, because I gave up on it and concentrated on SuperView! 97, and so I've forgotten what works and what doesn't!

Latest SuperView! 98 News...

The latest versio of SuperView! certainly looks to be capable of wiping the floor with tht older verions, it's been cleaned up and now has several extra little bells and whistles to go with it. It's delete command now works properly, asking before deleting, and then actaully deleting the file you want. The move, rename and copy procedures are still being debugged so we will have them ready for the next Beat release. There is a new Internet Explorer style toolbar, with grayed buttons and some nifty little applets to use. These include a clipboard viewer, a calculator and a new nifty Smoothreader, that automatically scrolls the text slowly so you don't have to press anything. The promise of a jpeg viewer and possibley editor as well, is looking pretty dim until I can find someone who knows how to access commands stored in dlls, as Borland evidently don't. But rest assured, there will not be another release until I can add these two brilliant features!
