You have come to the only Quick Basic page that focuses on educational programs. Of course all program types will be included on this page, but I want this page to be primarily a place where one can find simple programs to further the education of children. E-mail me or send me Your files! If they work and are suitable for
children, You'll see them here soon.
Capitals is a program that teaches the U.S. Capitals. Math Lab is a simple math review. Fun Stuff! Sorry there are none here yet. Visit these other great QBasic sites!
Learning About Quick Basic
Quick Basic is a programming language. Nevertheless, you don't need to know anything about programming to run a quick basic program. You only need a copy of
Quick Basic to run a file. The software may already be on your computer. Search for it by pressing F3, and typing in Quick Basic. It can also be found on many web sites, and on the Windows 95 CD. If you download a file in the "bas" format you must have a copy to run it. Once you have Quick Basic on your computer, copy the "bas" file into the same folder as your copy of Quick Basic. Then open basic and click on File, Open Progam, and then on the file you wish to run. Then go to Run and select Start. Another way to start the program is to push Shift and F5. A great advantage of Quick Basic files is that they take up very little room. Almost every file is under 500 Kb, and many are under 100 kb. They are therefore very quick to download.
If you don't want to work with quick basic many files are available in an executable version. For your convenience, my own files will all be available this way.
