   Etude Op 25 No. 11 ("Winter Wind"). Frederic Chopin.

   This is the famous Winter Wind Etude. The 12 Etudes Opus 25 were
   composed between 1832 and 1836. This etude consists of a chordal
   melody in the left hand accompanied by an ingenious combination of
   a chromatic scale combined with broken chords of the tonic key in 
   the right hand. 

   This is one of my favourite Chopin etudes, and the first one I
   ever learnt. I was always fascinated by the dramatic and swirling 
   effect, and the sonority. 

   I sequenced this using a Yamaha Clavinova keyboard and Roland JV1080
   synthesizer. Most of the notes I played in real time, and I adjusted
   the tempo, dynamics and rhythm with the editor of the sequencing 
   program "Midisoft Studio for Windows"'
