"Believe It Or Not": Jim The
Fiend
There have been many 'firsts' in the world of webcams: A college
girl by the name of
Jenny
was the first to broadcast a live webcam from her dorm room on the internet.
CuSeeMe was the first reliable program that people began using to chat
with each other. But Jim The Fiend was the first to make people realize
that webcamming doesnt come without its risks.
Jim is the creator of
"ICUII
Believe It Or Not", an adult oriented website which openly displays
video messages that people have sent across the internet. Jim
recieves the majority of them himself, usually by hanging out in the
User Directories under different female names. He also uses female
models to collect sum of the messages, which often are from lusty and
scantily clad males in dire need of attention.
His website is notorious and controversial, and wherever he goes he often
creates quite an uproar in the internet communities. He's been sued
in court, had his computer hacked and even recieved death threats...
but Jim continues to keep his site filled with some of the strangest
messages from people that you ever saw :)
Jim recently took some time to talk with LoneFeather about his notorious
website, and how he feels about the people who are unfortunate enough to
end up on it ... a questions and answer session presented in true "Jim The
Fiend" fashion :)
Lone:
When
did you first start webcamming? What programs did you
use?
Jim:
Hmmm
Let's see. 4 or 5 years ago. I started out with VDOphone and CuSeeme like
everyone else. Those were the main ones. I bought ICUII the day it came out.
I pretty much stick to that type of software now. I'm not much into Netmeeting
or Cuseeme. No Qms to save. > : )
Lone:
When
did you first decide to build your website?
Jim: I posted the first 5 pages
almost two years ago. I was bored one weekend, copped a buzz and started
tinkering around. I was pleased with the result.
Lone: WHY did you decide
to build your website?
Jim: Well, that's pretty
fucking obvious: I like to make fun of people. > : ) REALLY, I
do.
The sheer idiocy of some of the people
on here AMAZES me. It simply boggles the mind.
Not long after I started using ICU
a couple of friends of mine and I started sharing some qms and I decided
to post them. It really started as a private joke between myself and four
or five people. Someone blabbed and the address hit the directories. I got
about 2000 hits that weekend. Well, Cybration was pretty damn pissed and
made a nuisance of themselves so that forced me to escalate and here we are.
I never originally intended for it to be public.
In retrospect I'm glad it is now. It's a SHITLOAD OF FUN. I get 200 emails
a day, 30 or so new people contacting me on ICQ daily and you wouldn't BELIEVE
the women I have after me. > : ) Sorry. Anyway, it boils down to the fact
that I LIKE what I do. So do A LOT of people. If I can give someone a laugh
then that makes me real happy. And lets face it: I've done something that
no one has. That's pretty damn neat.
Lone: Don't you feel
that some of the people portrayed on your site - That you are just
making fun of them because of their size - or a physical trait... such
as being fat or overweight? Do you think that's fair to
do?
Jim:
That's
quite clearly what I'm doing. And? Fair? Who said fairness has any relevancy
at all?
Here's a quote
from my
site:
"My philosophy is that if you don't want people making fun of you, don't
send pictures of a carrot in your ass to strangers over the
internet."
And
another:
"Yeah I do make fun of you. So? You'd easily find things to prod me about
if you spent some time with me. YES, I make comments about your sexuality,
personality and YES, even certain uncontrollable aspects of your appearance
or intellect. Deal with it. You brought yourself into this arena, now face
the lions. I don't hate you, nobody that visits this site does. You laugh
your ass off 'til you see a QM of yourself don't you?"
Those are pretty specific
statements about how I feel on this issue. I've been over this a thousand
times
.
YES, I POST QMS ON THE
INTERNET
YES, I DO IT WITHOUT YOUR
CONSENT
YES, I MAKE FUN OF YOU
NO, I DON'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK WHETHER YOU
LIKE IT OR NOT
That clear enough?
Lone: Has icuii or any of
your "victims" ever tried to take any action against you and your
website?
Jim: I've been taken to court
twice. Won both times. > : )
I have been E-mail Bombed and hacked
by Cybration so many times I've lost count. I get oh... 4 or 5 death threats
a week. I usually give them my address and a good time to stop
by.
Lone:
What
are your future plans for your site?
Jim:
There
are none specifically. I'll keep doing it 'til I get bored, or shot, which
ever comes first. I'm in the process of branching out to other video chat
programs right now. That should be groovy. > : ) I intend on doing lots
more work with my "models", that's always a ton of fun. |
