Setup Netscape Profile

ATTENTION!!! By removing or making a new profile with the same name will remove ALL MESSAGES & BOOKMARKS!

Backup the USER NAME Folder before removing a profile!

(example: C:\programs\netscape\Users\username)

There are many ways to back it up. A simple click on the users folder (right click) then select copy. Then goto the netscape folder. (c:\programs\netscape) While in the the netscape folder right click off to the side and a menu will drop. Select Paste.


1) User MUST NOT HAVE NETSCAPE RUNNING
2) Either REBOOT computer or "ctrl-alt-delete" to remove netscape"
3) Continue if netscape is not running

STEP (1) Have User Press "START" then "NETSCAPE COMMUNICATOR" then "UTILITIES" then "USER PROFILE MANAGER"

STEP (2) You can select profile to "RENAME" "DELETE" We will press "NEW"

STEP (3) Press "NEXT"

STEP (4) Fill In the first box with your name and the second box with your e-mail address.

STEP (5) You Should Only Have To Fill In The Name. Give the profile a name. You could type your first name in this box. The other box should already be filled in.

STEP (6) "mail" MUST BE IN LOWER CASE

STEP (7) Fill In the User login which is the first part of your e-mail address without the @home.com. Your incoming mail server is mail.

STEP (8) Press "FINISH" It should already have "news" in box one and port 119 DO NOT CLICK secure.
