Once you enable your web space in Member Services, and complete a web page, you must transfer your web files to the @Home web space directory using a file upload utility (FTP). There are several FTP clients available including WS_FTP-LE, available from Tucows . WS_FTP-LE is Freeware; you don't to pay for the software.

When you open WS_FTP-LE, a Session Properties dialogue box opens. To create a profile for logging on to your @Home web space;

  • Click New in the Session Properties dialogue box
  • The screen below illustrates information required to transfer files to a Shaw@Home directory called test
  • (test being the user name of the account)

  • For Profile Name, enter a name for your web site
  • (e.g. My Home Page)

  • The Host Name/Address is members.home.net

  • The Password is the password assigned to the E-mail User name
