There are millions of games today on the market , but one game stands out in perticular. That game is Quake. Even though Quake was made a while ago, and there is already a Quake 2 out [even thoughts of making Quake 3], Quake still is my favorite game ever made. In the times of Quake, its graphics were top-notch, it's gameplay revalutionary, and i think [but not sure sure] it was best Action or Game of 1996. I still play it just about every day. What makes the game even for fun is the Internet play. It is always fun to play Quake over the Internet, because you play against human opponents. I think ID Software is one of the best game developers of all time. I played Quake 2 recently, and well, the graphics were great, the gameplay was great, the AI was great, but i didn't get that Quake feeling as you did in Quake 1. I felt like i was play a entirely different game [wich it was, but you know what i mean]. But now, for some reason, ID Software is giving Activision the rights to make Quake 3. Oh well, what are you gonna do? Never the less Quake is my game of all time and still will be.

What keeps Quake alive though is all the new mods being made. There are tons of them. Some extra weapons, some combinations, some making the game totally different. But never the less, they are fun. I have some favorites i would like to share. For instance Zeus. Zeus isn't a mod, its a BOT. A BOT is a AI that helps you fight in the game. And well, the Zeus BOT is a very good example. It has very good AI compared to others [worst BOT is the BG BOT]. Another good MOD is TeamFortress. Even though it is made for Internet play only, i still play it in single play [it gets very boring very fast]. But there are some draw backs. I still haven't been able to play it over the Internet. It is hard to find a TF server. If you know of a good one please e-mail it to me. There are litterally millions for MODs, and you can get em all at quake.tqn.com.
