Quickening Rules in Character Creation
by Kevin Brammer
When you think about it if a Character has been alive for at say
1000 years one would expect that that character would of killed
at least one or more Immortals during that time. So here are some
rules that I think compensate for this fact.
| Age | Dice |
| 0-100 | 1d6x2 |
| 100-250 | 3d6x2 |
| 250-500 | 5d6x2 |
| 500-1000 | 10d6x2 |
| 1000-1500 | 15d6x2 |
After you make the dice rolls and have found out the results you
than pay so many points to achieve each level of quickening up
to a maximum of eight quickening points. And the skill bonus allows
for the player to add more skills to there character up to the
maximum given by the age background. Note the Point Cost and Skill
Bonus Points are accumulative.
| Quickening | Point Cost | Ability Bonus Points |
ex. John Smith is say is in the 500-1000 age category. He then
roles 10d6x2. So he roles say 1+3+4+5+5+2+1+3+4+3=31 which is
then multiplied by 2 which equals 62 points which is than spent
on Quickening. Well say that John Smith has already purchased
1 point of Quickening so he already has 2 Quickening points. With
62 points he can up his Quickening to level 5 by spending 12+18+24=54
points of the 62, and the left over points are discarded. And
for Abilities Bonus Points he gets 3+4+5=12 points more to spend
on abilities.
