What's It All About?

This course is part of the Clerical Skills Certification Program.  This class is just one component to this certificate.  The other two classes are Keyboarding/Typing Skills and Computer Literacy.  When all three classes are completed, student will be awarded a certificate that lists the hours the student spent in the classes taken.

This course introduces students to the inner workings of the modern office and provides them with the necessary job skills for entry level clerical positions.  Topics include keyboarding skills, filing systems, telephone techniques, office etiquette, office machines, money handling, test taking skills, business communication, career dressing, interviewing skills, resume writing and job search skills.

Class meets every day, Monday through Friday, and is available 3 time periods during the day, the are as follows:

                                                8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
                                                10:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
                                                1:00 p.m. - 3:00

This course is designed for the summer semester and is excellerated to be able to include all the above mentioned topics.
