            This homepage is developed with a strong belief that in the very near future, the mode of life of human being will tremendously change due to their getting more and more relied on the use of Internet. 

            As an owner and the webmaster of this page I am delighted to introduce myself to all visitors of this site. My name is David Chung. I was born in Hong Kong which was, before the year 1997 a British Colony. But now it has become a Special Administrative Region under the sovereignty of the People Republic of China.

            After the handover of this territory on 1st July 1997, no drastic changes seem to have taken place. We still speak freely and openly, make criticism to whatever we like. The only big difference, I suppose, is economy. The economy of Hong Kong is going downtrend starting from the end of 1998 to the present. By then Hong Kong was much affected by the Asian Economic Crisis. Many people suffered great losses in their property assets. Unemployment rate has climbed from its long stable rate of 2% to the present 5 to 6%. I sincerely hope that the Hong Kong Government could promulgate  some efficient ways of getting through all these problems.

            As regards using personal computers I have had such experience for almost over 15 years. And in my daily live, I rely on the Internet in doing my bank transactions, getting valuable information from all sources and communicating emails with my friends. All these I might  say could not be done electronically or in a way so conveniently a decade before. My forecast is that in the near future ahead, many things which we originally have to be done physically or personally could be done via the Internet. This being the chief reason for my building up this homepage and joining this global community. As in an ordinary house where we live, I shall bring in some new furniture, replace them periodically. I shall invite friends to come in. I shall discuss matters which are of common interests to us. I shall go outside for shopping on the Internet and earn money too if chances permitted, everything in the likelihood of the real life of a citizen.

            So please expect this Workshop will keep on enhancing to suit the needs of its occupier and his guests and re-visit me again to see if there is anything new or drop me a mail at my post box below if there is anything you would like to suggest. Thank you very very much!
