The Hardyz WWF History
1996* Worked part-time as extras in the WWF
*Made small appearances here and there on popular WWF TV shows.
1998* Worked Full-Time as WWF wrestlers.
*Joined Tom Prichard and Dory Funk in Dory's Funkin' Dojo Camp It was there they trained with Amy Dumas (their future WWF manager.
* Made Michael Hayes (otherwise known as Doc Hendrix) thier manager. Only appearing on Heat and Shotgun defeated Kaeintai in thier first full time match on Heat.
1999*With Michael Hayes still as their manager, won the Tag Team Championship Belts from the Acolytes on Raw (July 1999) but were later defeated by the Acolytes at Fully Loaded (PPV July 1999)
* Released Michael Hayes as a manager in August 1999 and teamed up with the vampire Gangrel to become the New Brood...taking over for the old Brood who were ironically Edge and Christian.
*Defeated Edge and Christian at No Mercy (October 1999) in ladder match winning the managing services of Terri Runnels and a bag of money hung atop the squared circle in which brother Jeff Hardy dang near lost a hip that day, swinging off the bag when he lost the ladder under his feet, then dropped almost 15 feet to a cold hard ring surface. *hugs Jeff...what a manly man* This event put The Hardyz as well as Edge and Christian in the spotlight instantly achiving a standing ovation for the best wrestling match the world had ever seen in a very long time. This event also brought both tag teams to WWF Superstar status and will be the match people will remember for all time.
*Made a Cameo Appearance on Mick Foley's "The Faces Of Foley" with his brother Jeff. (If you have or get the tape Matt is on the right in the white shirt, Jeff is on the left in a black shirt (or navy blue...ahhhhh, my tv is doo-doo it's a dark shirt hee hee=) The story behind that was Mick Foley pulled them into the video interview...oh Mick Foley is SO COOL!!!=)
*Also had various sparatic matches with the New Age Outlaws that some weren't decided because of interfearance from De-Generation X.
2000*After being left standing without management by Terri Runnels, who had been rumored as saying she left after not receiving a fair amount of visits in the hospital from the Hardyz after she had been sent thru a table during one of Buh Buh Ray Dudley's "Devon, get the tables" blackouts... appeared later with Saturn for some strange reason, in matches against our BOYZ.
Adopted the beautiful Lita as their manager and teamed together in a series of matches against Trish Stratus and her tag team T & A which stands for Test and Albert, and also interfering in some of these matches were Egde and Christian and the ferocious Dudley Boyz. The most memorable of the matched between the Hardyz, T&A, Trish, and Lita was at Fully Loaded when Trish spanked Lita with a belt after Lita had been hurt by T&A...not to worry Lita had hurt them beforehand with a series of way better wrestling moves than they ever could bring to the squared circle anyhow.
The Event proclaimed by the coolest man in wrestling himself...Mick Foley now the commissioner of WWF at this point, announced to Edge and Christian in the middle of one their what I call "Talk-A-Thons" that there would be a triangle TLC match between The Hardyz, Edge and Christian, and the Dudleys.
WrestleMania 2000...April 2, 2000 marked another landmark day in the careers of the Hardyz as well as Edge and Christian, and the Dudley boys.
*Now achiving full WWF Superstar status the Hardy Boyz appear on every major WWF telvision show and have done a Legend Of Zelda tv commercial (which rockz by the way) and an appearance on the hit Fox TV Show "That 70's Show" (as wrestlers...natch=) and merchandise selling off of the shelves there is no doubt this extreme tag team will make it to the Pro Wrestling History Books and take the art of wrestling to a brand new plain in this new millineum.=)
