Location: La Cartuja, is set in a very priviledged location. It's only five minutes away from Avenida Amazonas, the most lively avenue in Quito and a mecca for shoppers, yet it is located in the peaceful heaven of a quiet residential street. Nearby are the Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana, El Ejido park, the American and French embassies and the South American Explorers Club. The historic old town section is within walking distance. |

Our House: We love La Cartuja because of the beauty and richness of its colonial style architecture. However, what we really love about it is its unique Spanish style green courtyard. There are only a few of these courtyards left in Quito and La Cartuja has been declared a cultural heritage site. ![]() |

All our rooms are spacious and enjoy naural light. They have white ceilings and mouldings, and the original wooden floors from colonial times. Each has a private bathroom with hot water, telephone, tv and a safety deposit box. |
