Plunder Point, like most political entities on Terra, is a monarchy, being ruled by Emperor Joshua I. However, unlike most conventional monarchies, Plunder Point has a highly developed bureaucracy. Roughly 65% of Plunder Point residents are employed in some sector of the government. The largest governmental departments by far are the Ministries of Trade and the Ministry of Ocean-Based Resources. This is not surprising, given that Plunder Point is an island nation with an economy relying heavily on trade.
Plunder Point has always maintained excellent relations with her neighbors, especially the Warlord's Domain and Morlock's Isle. Plunder Point is proud to be a founding member of the International Commision Against Piracy as well as having provided the political impetus needed to form the Terran League. Plunder Point has proven that the monarchy does not have to be a stagnant form of government.
