version is a plug in but I think so. From IBM-site: "Bamba is a technology
of streaming audio and video players from IBM Research that allows you
to play audio and video over the Internet. The plug-in is designed to provide
high quality audio and high frame-rate video over the low-bandwidth and
dial-up connections typical on the Internet today (14.4 and 28.8 Kbits/sec).
A 6 Kbits/sec link is required to support our encoding of the audio connection
stream, and the rate of the video stream varies. The Bamba package contains
three players: Bamba Audio, Bamba Live Audio and Bamba Video."

Windows desktop and drop it in Navigator Gold: MovieScreamer handles the
rest automatically. Additionally, any QuickTime movie downloaded from the
Internet can be easily saved and ‘Screamed’. Unix web-masters can use the
Unix command-line version of MovieScreamer to convert all the QuickTime
movies on an entire web site into the ‘Fast-Start’ QuickTime format. That
way, contributors to the web-site need not worry about whether their movies
have been properly converted into the ‘Fast-Start’ format: the web-master
can take care of these details for them. Web authors whose sites are hosted
on remote web servers (that have MovieScreamer) can use the Unix version
of the product to ‘Scream’ movies used on their web pages, eliminating
