She studied in St. Mary’s Convent, Shillong upto Pre-University . She graduated as a B.E. (Electronics & Telecom.) from an R.E.C. and M.E. from M.S. University, Baroda . Now she is employed with Air-India as a Systems Engineer in Bombay .

We are Bengali, our caste is Vaishya and gotra is Alimon . We are originally from Sylhet district, now in Bangladesh . I am a retired Subordinate Engineer from Meghalaya State Electricity Board . My wife was previously a teacher, now a housewife . She is non-Bengali . We are middle class people with broad outlook and progressive minded . We have four children . The proposed bride is our eldest child . The second is our son a B. Tech in Computer Science, a software professional, in Bombay . The third is our daughter a B. E. in Electronics and Telecom . The youngest is our daughter a Mass Comunication & Video Production graduate, undergoing further studies .
