The Southern emperor rules the Southern land

Ly Thuong Kiet

The Southern emperor rules the Southern land.

Our destiny is writ in Heaven's Book.

How dare ye bandits trespass on you soil?

Ye shall meet your undooing at our lands!

Note: According to tradition, Marshal Ly Thuong Kiet read this poem to his troops in 1076, exhorting them to resist aggressor from China.
