1. Haven and Earth are not humane,
   The treat all things as straw dogs.
   The Sage is not humane,
   He treats the common people as straw dogs.
2. Between Heaven and Earth, the space is like a bellows.
   Empty but never exhausted,
   The more it moves, the more it produces.
3. Much talk will of course come to a dead end,
   It is better to remain in the centre.
