1. The best man is like water.
   Water is good in benefiting all thing without contention,
   And staying in places detested by many other.
   This is why it is so near to the Way.
2. The best man, in his dwelling loves the location.
   In his heart, he loves what is profound.
   In his relations, he loves benevolence.
   In his words, he loves sincerity.
   In government, he loves order.
   In handling affairs, he loves competence.
   In his activites, he loves timeliness.
3. It is because he does not contend with any.
   That he is without reproach.
