#Heavens 1st BBQ on 19th June 98 at East Coast Park

Instead of the usual coffee sessions we used to have regularly, I decided to organize a BBQ instead. This is definitely going to require some planning and coordination unlike the previous ones which can be decided the last minute. However this did not hinder us in planning the BBQ. The planning of the date was also done in accordance to Vigen�s arrival to Singapore. We wanted to welcome him to Singapore with a BBQ.

The turnout was more than expected. Initially it was expected to be around 22 but end up 29 turn up. Well I guess many were very enthusiastic in seeing Vigen since he were be in S�pore for a short period. During this BBQ many of us got to know each other better. We meet some of the people at the McDonalds initially so as to bring them to the BBQ pit. The BBQ started around 7pm with tomodachi and Lufbra being the two key BBQ persons to cook the food as they cooked majority of the food for the rest. One of them even asked me if I actually hired 2 of them to BBQ for us �hehe. Initially the plastic cups were limited hence activee came out with an idea of labeling all the cups with individual nicks. Any replacement of cup is a $5 fine�hehe. That night we also celebrated Helloyou�s birthday with a birthday cake and a card from #heavens. I think he was kind of touched until he was speechless for a while.

By midnight, more than half had left as they have to catch the last bus/MRT. The remaining of us just sat on the beach with a lighted candle and chit chat. We then took turns to write our chinese names on the sand (I forgot how come we started doing this). At around 2+am , Vigen went back with his �managers� as he still have a early day the next day. As for the rest of us which is only 4 left (Calen,Activee,Lufbra and myself) decided to catch a show. Hence we went all the way up to Yishun but realized they do not have. Then we decided to go to Jalan Kayu to have roti pata and we talked through the night till 6am when there is the first bus. Overall the BBQ was a success, though tiring at the end of the day. Thanks for everyone who came that day for making this event a successful one.

Food included were:

Chicken wings, Satays, Sausages, Chicken nuggets, Fried Bee Hoon, Fruit Salad, Fruit Cocktail, Potatoes, Sweetcorn, Marshmallow, Hot dog buns, Sotong balls.
