This set is a little late for this Easter. Actually, I don't usually even make themed holiday sets, because they're always late. This set, though, just seemed to want to be made. On Easter weekend, my family and I went on a trip to Gatlinburg, TN. While we were there we visited Cades Cove, an old pioneering settlement with some of the original cabins and such. (It's now part of the Great Smoky Mtn.s National Park.)

Since it was Easter Day, my little bro wanted us to hide eggs for him to find, even though we weren't at home. So we stopped at the rest area in the park and hid plastic eggs for him in the grass and trees and around the split-rail fences. Then he hid them for us to find! We had a good time even though we weren't at home and the eggs weren't real. I think that to kids, things like that really aren't important. He had fun, even if it wasn't traditional. Do you remember Easter as a kid? You ate lots and lots of candy and got to hunt for eggs. What more could you ask for? In this set, I've tried to roll up all the images that came to mind of a childhood Easter Sunday. Dyed eggs, rabbits, foil-wrapped candy, that vinegar-smelling dye...

This set is also special because it's my first theme to be created with my new digital graphics tablet. Well, some things never change, no matter how much technology you have - I still can't draw! It's a good thing this set was designed to look childish. I had fun, though! :)

You can right-click on the graphics to download them, but it's better to download the zip file here. It includes some extra backgrounds and eggs.
