Rep Been is a member of Boss Nass's Gungan High Council. The respected Gungan dressed in the formal clothes of a Rep, complete with hood and robes. When the Gungans evacuated Otoh Gunga during the Trade Federation invasion, Rep Been and fellow official Rep Teers stayed close to Nass.
Rep Been is a member of the more prominent Otollo race of Gungan. He is the keeper of ancient records, and knows of the various secret hiding places used by the Gungans throughout their history. When the battle droids invaded Otoh Gunga, it was Been who supported Nass' decision to evacuate to the Gungan Sacred Place.
