This work is layed out as a number of sheets of parchment with beautiful artwork for each monster. Each page is a different dungeon in Temuair. There are pages for Mileth Crypt, East Woodlands, Piet Sewer, and Abel Crypt. All the monsters found in that dungeon are listed with a picture, the game icon, a description, and an experience chart.
The pictures very closely resemble the game icons, from the color selection to folds on the shriekers belly. They could have been the concept art for the game.
The monster descriptions are rich and imaginative but provide the in game details needed to make a game beastiary useful, such as spells commonly used and where they are likely to be hostile or docile.
My only complaint with this work is that the experience amounts are a bit off. It seems that the author based the experience amounts on the experience gained in combat, rather than the real value learned with study creature. (If your insight is too low or too high compared to the monster, you will not get the full amount.) I had to take off half a circle for that.
