Giants
bitten by the bullets |
|
Justin Phoenix matched up against his previous club |
|
Giants 84 - 92 Bullets
With Martin Gottfried out for a few more weeks with a knee injury and Brian Earl out with
a shoulder injury, the Giants lacked a lot of depth in their game, no Tyrone Thomas meant
another start for Teva Johnson, despite Justin Phoenix starting, the Giants still had a
small team that had no chance of lasting to full 40 minutes.
If you
where at the game you should have noticed one absentee... Mike Shaft and it got worse as
Paul Sleem was not the stand in.
|
The Giants had a healthy lead up until 4 minutes
into the second quarter when the game was neck and neck at 35-34. The game was iced by the
Bullets with about two minutes to go as Julius Joseph left the game with an injured leg.
The
Giants have now lost twice at home but are still unbeaten away, if the Giants can win on
Saturday they may still stand a chance to keep up with the Chester Jets and Sheffield
Sharks.
Justin
Phoenix was ejected for no apparent reason, as were Virgil Cobbin, Rob 'titch' Paternostro
and Brant Bailey of the Bullets.
