Third straight defeat for Giants

Justin Phoenix's 17 points for the Giants wasn't enough to overcome the Eagles.

Manchester Giants have lost their third successive game at the hands of the Newcastle Eagles once again, at the MEN Arena on Wednesday night.

The Eagles opened the scoring with an impressive 23-12 run in the first quarter  from which the Giants never recovered.

The Eagles extended their lead to lead 46-24 at the half.

Giants staged a good come-back to bring it to just 14, but it was too little, too late.
