3-0 to Giants in season series over Riders

Justin Phoenix sent the game into triple overtime

Manchester Giants have made it 3-0 against the Renault Leicester Riders in the season series, 125-123 in triple overtime.

The Riders fought back strongly to force the extra period with a 13-2 run but it was to be the Giants who rattled off the final baskets of the opening two periods of overtime through Justin Phoenix.

Debutant Ralph Blalock missed the opportunity at the death to give Riders the victory as his three pointer rimmed out.Giants must get a win over the Newcastle Eagles at the MEN Arena on Friday 8th December, to stay in the competition.

Brian Reese led all scorers with 39 points.
