Giants 61 - 70 Towers
Last years National Cup runners up,
Manchester Giants didn't have a happy re-union with Nick Nurse, as his HARIBO London
Towers beat the Giants by 9 points in the NTL National Cup quarter Final.
Jerry
Hester was the Towers top scorer with 16 points, but Justin Phoenix's 22 points and
Brendan Graves' 17 points just proved in vain for the Giants. Julius Joseph is still
obviously not back from his knee injury and Tony Holley could only grab 10 points. The
Towers had too much depth throughout their roster compared to the injury hit Giants who
have lost three consecutive games.

A 10-1 run in the early stages of the third
quarter saw Towers lead 45-39 and although Manchester Giants rallied, it was never quite
good enough to overtake the Towers.
Justin
Phoenix - 22
Brendan Graves - 17
Tony Holley - 10
