Communication is art and art is communication. Civilizations would not or could not exist without communication. For one, to most effectively communicate one must know ones subject (receptor) well, otherwise communication is futile. It is my belief that the most important variable in effective communication is knowledge or understanding of the personality of the receptor. Below I will describe two types of personalities. Understanding them was the key to my successful communication in my long professional life. I will label the two types of personalities 'RUN FOR' and 'THAN NOW'. INTRODUCTION: Science is not all research and development. Fifty per cent of it is communication of the research and development. Some years back this great person told me this. Back then I agreed, now I really agree with the statement. Putting it differently, back then I had the gut feeling that the statement was correct now I have a practical experience that it is correct. Actually I feel that the fifty percent mark is a gross estimate between the two entities. | |||||||||||||||||
