Look out Bahamas, here comes the Neshaminy High
School Choir! On Wed., April 18, the Neshaminy High School choir
will be heading off to the Bahamas Cruise Festival and Orlando Tour.
Though plenty of time will be spent in the sun and having fun, the
choir students also get the opportunity to take part in a competition.
This five-day event will begin with a flight to
Florida. Junior Amy Gurevitch, explained, Im excited
to go on the trip, but Im nervous because I have a fear of
flying.
After the five flights arrive, the group will spend
the remainder of the day in Walt Disney Worlds Magic Kingdom.
Day-two will be filled with fun as the group spends
the day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure.
For the next three days, the choir will be aboard
Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Majesty of the Seas Nassau
and CocoCay Cruise.
The cruise includes a stop in Nassau, Bahamas and
CocoCay, Royal Caribbeans private island.
I cant wait for the trip, choir
member, Allison Everitt, commented, Its going to be
a lot of fun for everyone involved.
While aboard the cruise, the choir will compete
against two other schools-one from Kentucky and one from Louisiana.
They will also enjoy all of the fun-filled activities
that come along with cruises, such as dancing, disco, and karaoke.
They will also take place in an award ceremony at
the end of the cruise.
The choir has been practicing their music for the competition ever
since the schools musical production, Crazy for You, came
to an end.
The choir has also been holding rigorous after-school
practices every Wednesday in the auditorium from 2:30-4PM. Also,
the choir practices their music in class each day.
Junior Erin Hamilton commented, I am really
glad that we get to represent our school out of state.
The 240 students will return to school on Tuesday,
April 25 most likely with a trophy in their hands.
