Sophomores dance, dine under New York skyline

The Sophomore Dinner Dance recently took place on April 6, in the Fred Gerst Gymnasium. Administrators, including Mark Collins and Rick Rosenblatt, greeted students as they walked into a scene taken right out of New York City. “The decorations looked great, I couldn’t even tell that I was in the gym,” said sophomore Krysten Jones.

The evening was an overall hit among the sophomore class. The behavior exhibited at the dance was a success all on its’ own. Many from both the junior and senior classes attended the dance as well.

After being seated students were able to enjoy a buffet of roast beef, chicken fingers, meatballs, mozzarella sticks, baked ziti, and salad. Later that evening the students who were able to get away from the dance floor made sundaes.

The dance floor was the main attraction of the festivities. The music kept the crowd moving and their spirits high. Few people were spotted sitting at the confetti-adorned tables, and those who did get away from the pulsating crowd mainly left to get pictures.

The Sophomore Dinner Dance was a worthwhile experience for both students and faculty. “I had the time of my life at the dance! I can’t wait till the Junior Prom next year!” exclaimed sophomore Drew Demberg.
