Seven Seas of Rhye - live at Rainbow Theatre, London 31.3.1974
This is somewhere in the middle of their Queen 2 -tour in England. The major worldwide succes for the group was yet to come, but they did have their own supporters though. I'm not sure but this might be the very first live performance of this song!? At least this song was not included in the repertoire in the beginning of the tour. Just listen how wonderfully Roger hits those high notes. They really have put some practice to this!
Also the acoustics were great at the venue, this is a audience recording from 1974, remember! |

Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy - Live in Copenhagen 12.5 1977 This performance comes from their U.K Day At the Races Tour. They didn't perform this song in the U.S tour, but thank God, they included it for the European dates! This is sooooo hanky-panky and cheerfull. I think it has a little bit more power when performed live....I'm not sure. Brian does the solo way differently, because on album there were too many overdubs and layers to reproduce the lot on stage. Rogers' drumming is also much thickier than on the album. This version could really be the best live performance of that song. This is better than the version in Earls Court 1 month later at least! |

Ok Ladies and Gentlemen (and everybody else). This page is now finally opened! I hope, you can find some interesting live versions here. But you could also help me a bit. Just think if you have any Queen song you have always wanted to hear live or if you have some particular year where you would like to hear Queen live stuff and just mail me. My job comes much easier when I don't have to think what you would like to hear. Just tell me that and your wish is my command. |
