Rodolfo Stusser, M.D.’s Tentative Program of
Scientific Exchange in the University of San Francisco and University of
California, San Francisco on May 3-16, 2003 --or in some days later.
Goals:
1) To see &
learn the last developments & advances on scientific research &
training programs, and on informatics, telematics, internet, in medicine,
surgery, nursing, technology & public health in the UCSF, USF & SF City
Health Care Department, with emphasis, in primary care & family practice
2) To
talk about the Havanan experience in biomedical & socio health sciences,
and to discuss some own non conventional scientific research, training &
collaboration projects & program
3) To strengthen
the scientific collaboration, partnership & friendship between our Havanan
health care & scientific centers, university, societies, and the UCSF, USF
& other SF homologues, achieving a first & modest collaboration project
NOTE: I would like to see if UCSF Dean
Professor Haile Debas could concert with UCSF Nobel Prize Chancellor, Professor J. Michael Bishop, a very special visit to the
Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases. It could be inserted in any place of
this schedule.
Activities:
This schedule is
very tentative & will be subjected to precisions in the next weeks. The activities suggested by Dean Debas, Prof. Rodnick &
Prof. Barter’s offices are in blue, awaiting to be confirmed by them where
& when (like the wonderful Frank Sinatra’s song).
I am open to have
some meetings, exchanges and talks at the evening too. The talks could be
