WONCA/AAFP 2004 Conferences, NAPCRG Meeting, and
other Satellite
Exchanges at
Goal:
To participate in
the 2004 World Organization for General Physicians (WONCA) Conference, Annual
Scientific Assembly of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), North
American Primary Care Research Group (NAPCRG) Meeting, & other Satellite
Exchanges as first AAFP Cuban international member
Activities:
-To see and learn the last World, North
American and US advances on scientific research and training programs, and on
health informatics, telemedicine, internet, and other ICTs,
in primary care, general and family medicine, as well as in medicine, surgery,
nursing, technology and public health in the health facilities of Florida.
-To recover and
strengthen the scientific collaboration, partnership and friendship between our
Havanan health care & scientific centers, university, societies, and the US
and Florida homologues, exploring possibilities for future scientific
collaboration and research projects, according to present US and Cuba
regulations.
Note: The trip is
financed by a WONCA of Singapore bursary assistance of
