He then went on to college at Northeast Community College. After college he worked at a bakery in Neligh, after the bakery he went to work at family owned Jack and Jill. While he was working at the bakery he got married to Susan in May of 1979. Then in 1981 he and his wife Susan had their first son Ben, and in 1983 they had Bryan. Then in 1994 he bought Jack and Jill from his father and renamed it Jack and Jill Food Center.
Future Plans: He wants to retire early and build a house in the mountains.
