Slice the french or french/italian bread into one (1) inch slices. Grease a three (3) quart baking dish and cover the bottom with the slices of bread. Spread cooked venison sausage evenly over the bread. Next sprinkle grated sharp cheddar over the sausage. Then evenly apply dried onions over the cheese.
Beat eggs. Add whipping cream to eggs and mix thoroughly. Pour egg and cream mixture over the layered ingredients in the baking dish. If desired, add salt, pepper or other seasonings. The sausage is normally seasoned enough for flavoring the concoction.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
