     2.  Application of computer modeling to the evaluation of stereologic methods

          in collaboration with Dr. Med. Christoph Schmitz, RWTH University of 

          Aachen, Germany (1999-present).

 

     3.  Creation of computer models of tissue sections and methods for correcting  

           image cytometric ploidy measurements in tissue sections, with applications

           in autoradiography and flow cytometry (1994-present).

 

     4.  Study in prostate core biopsies relating proximity of coexistent PIN and

          carcinoma to ploidy of the respective lesions (St. Vincent Charity Hospital,

          Cleveland, 1991).

 

     5.  Flow cytometric study of transfused platelet survival in alloimmunized  

          recipients (New York Blood Center, 1988).

     control on a firm scientific foundation based on Westgard at Good

     Samaritan Hospital, Puyallup, WA (2002).

 

 

     Revised surgical pathology accession forms and frozen section 

     documentation at Good Samaritan Hospital, Puyallup, WA (2001).

 

     Introduced several new tests at Good Samaritan Hospital, Puyallup, WA: 

     Troponin I, Fetal fibronectin, SimpliRed D-dimer, PFA-100 (1998-2002).

 

     Created and put through committee a massive transfusion protocol at Good  

     Samaritan Hospital, Puyallup, WA (2000).

 

     Comprehensively revised and put through committee a new critical values list 

     at Good Samaritan Hospital, Puyallup, WA (1999).

 

     Created and implemented a prospective transfusion auditing program at St.

     Vincent Charity Hospital (Cleveland) resulting in a decrease in the rate of

      inappropriate transfusions of platelets and red cells from 25% to 5% of

      transfused units (April 1990).

 

     Comprehensively revised and put through committee transfusion audit criteria

     at St. Vincent Charity Hospital (Cleveland, 1990).

 

     Created and implemented autologous and directed donation policy and

     procedure at Peekskill Community Hospital (1988).

 

     Helped to develop a new autologous and directed donor policy for The New

     York Blood Center (1988).
