Dion is one of my brothers. He is 25 years old and was born on the same day as my mother. The nurses and doctors thought it was special that the two of them had the same birthday.Dion attended Benedict college for two years and then moved to New York. He was really interested in retail so he tried to find a job working in a city clothing store. For the meantime, Dion worked in a barber shop cutting hair which is another hobbie he enjoyed doing. Lukily one of his friends got him a job interview with one of the biggest clothing stores in New York City. That night Dion called home and I could tell he was anxious about his new job. He exclaimed to me how many celebrities he had met and seen. I was so proud of him. After two years in New York, Dion decided to move back home due to uncontrollable family circumstances. He was unhappy at the fact he had to give up a job he loved, but we were all glad that he was back home.
While growing up, I usually played with Dion and his friends because he was closer to my age than my other brother. So in reality,I had to be A Tom Boy, meaning, I could not
- whine
- wear pink, or
- tell secrets
It was fun growing up with Dion because he and his friends looked after and protected me from anyone. Dion now lives in Anderson with my mom and we still tease each other and go places together, like the mall, clubs, and out to eat.
